The actress can also be seen in Tyler Perry's cult film, Why Did I Get Married? Perry, Janet Jackson and the indie film Frozen Peas are all starring with her. Additional film credits for her are The 636 (for which she was awarded the title of Best Actress in 2014's NYLA International Film Festival), Shattered! Never Die Alone, American Adobo, and American Adobo. Cum Laude's B.F.A. was awarded to Keesha upon her graduation. at the Conservatory, Keesha set her goal to perform on stage. Keesha was part of Carousel, the Broadway National Tour of Carousel and debuted off-Broadway in Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind and played eight different roles in the comedy that is interactive Eat the Runt. Other stage performances comprise Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin', Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Keesha read along with playwright August Wilson himself. Keesha is also the director of several shows of "Lethal Weapon", Are We There Yet? and the shorter films One Day, Lillian, and Half Off. Keesha created Clean, The Brit & Broken Doll. She also has a variety of original projects in research. The singer is at present working on her debut full-length record following the success of her previous album "Santa Baby."
